So my quandry is this: if I answer that yes, it is good to be home in the states am I therefore saying that it wasn’t equally good to be in Kampala?
Basically, 13 Middle Eastern men were traveling together as a musical group, 12 carrying Syrian passports and one, a lawful permanent resident of the US of Lebanese descent. They purchased one-way tickets from Detroit to Los Angeles with widely dispersed seating. 6 of the men arrived at the gate together boarding began, then split up and acted as if they were not acquainted. Air marshals report that the men seemed “sweaty and nervous.” During the flight, several of the men changed seats, congregated in the aisles, and arose when the fasten seat belt sign was turned on; Word of the day: lotusland\\LOH-tus-land\ noun: *1 : a place inducing contentment especially through offering an idyllic living situation. 2 : a state or an ideal marked by contentment often achieved through self-indulgence.

“Be , Financier

While Bristol, or any of the Tri-Cities could even be thought of as any minute form of a lotusland, it was however written up in this morning’s edition of The Washington Post newspaper. Here’s the link:one passenger moved quickly up the aisle toward the cockpit and, at the last moment, entered the first class restroom. He remained inside for about 20 minutes. Several of the men spent “excessive” time in the restrooms. Another man carried a large McDonald’s restaurant bag into a restroom and made a thumbs-up signal to another man upon returning to his seat.
Due to the kind of migratory life we will live working with this branch of the government, I will face this question and the complexities of how to define these simple terms over and over again. I know I’m not alone in this however because (of course) there have been countless books written on the subject.

Over the past several months we have lived in a variety of homes and it has been a joy to be together in all of them. We have learned to make a home no matter what the address may be. We are however very much looking forward to getting more settled into our current home which I have now found out is in zip code area 22302…Alexandria, Virginia.

It’s worth noting the album version of “Borderline” is a full 1:20 longer than this version, which forsakes several “keep pushing me’s” to the ultimate detriment of the song, IMHO.

Madonna’s Holiday: Who’s that dude in the background?

Part of an ongoing series of tributes to Michigan’s own Madonna, who enters the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame March 10.

Madonna’s third single off of her self-titled 1983 debut was “Holiday,” which would go on to become a standard in her catalogue. But the video was such a disaster it was never officially released.

This clip finds Madonna and two background dancers — one of whom looks like Chris Parnell — dancing in front of a wall, where an Ebenezer Scrooge lookalike is taking a nap. she briefly wakes up in the middle of the clip and then returns to his slumber, and it’s unclear whether or not she knows he’s in a music video.

This video was a step back for Madonna after the pseudo high art of “Burning Up.” But it would be the last time a video of hers would land with such a resounding thud, because “Borderline” was just around the corner.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — More Reader Reax

Here’s one You forgot, one of my favorites too: “My most glaring omission is Daryl Hall and John Oates,” wrote Lamont Corbin of Detroit. “They are the highest selling duo in history and many groups with far less credentials are in the hall.”

Matt Fasang wrote in: “If you have Genesis and Yes based on sales and popularity you gotta have….sit down….Journey and ELO. Iggy Pop should have been one of the first in.”

Lexan 3c Trumpet Mouthpiece
Lexan material provides educators and private instructors easy viewing of students’ lip placement and aperture during playing time on an actual mouthpiece, with true pressure and resistance. I can’t say enough about these mouthpieces, they just feel more comfortable and easier to play than metal. They are warmer to the touch as opposed to metal that takes on the indoor/outdoor temperature. These are great for marching band and outdoor activities. I often play the 3c standard in lessons. Order this mouthpiece

Trying different mouthpieces is an educational experience. It is also a necessary step for discovering how you can sound your best. Have fun!

Now take the strip of beeswax (if you have a block it will be very easy to cut a strip off. The strip should be about 130 to 150 mm long (5″-6″) and about 7-15 mm thick(1/4″-3/4″) depending on the top inside diameter of your didgeridoo). stages in repairing a didgeridoo mouthpiece

Now you want to press the wax against the inside of the didj. This is best done by pushing the wax downward allowing it to peter out (we do NOT recommend that you cut your didj in order to check your mouthpiece). You will have to feel with your finger as you push the wax against the timber that you end up with a continuous seal

Here an example of what it shouldn’t look like if you could see the bottom of the mouthpiece. Note the gaps between wax and timber, specially in the 4 o’clock position.
For convenience, this information refers to a good reed that is matched/mated to a fine mouthpiece. (Many reeds have a far different calling - often best suited to serve hors d’ouevres, to spread glue, to serve as a wedge, shim, toothpick, kindling, etc. - bien sur..!) Also, when the term “good reed” is employed, it refers to a reed that will play with good results over many weeks and months, perhaps even for a period of a year or more.
