So my quandry is this: if I answer that yes, it is good to be home in the states am I therefore saying that it wasn’t equally good to be in Kampala?
Basically, 13 Middle Eastern men were traveling together as a musical group, 12 carrying Syrian passports and one, a lawful permanent resident of the US of Lebanese descent. While Bristol, or any of the Tri-Cities could even be thought of as any minute form of a lotusland, it was however written up in this morning’s edition of The Washington Post newspaper. Here’s the link:one passenger moved quickly up the aisle toward the cockpit and, at the last moment, entered the first class restroom. He remained inside for about 20 minutes. Several of the men spent “excessive” time in the restrooms. Another man carried a large McDonald’s restaurant bag into a restroom and made a thumbs-up signal to another man upon returning to his seat.
Due to the kind of migratory life we will live working with this branch of the government, I will face this question and the complexities of how to define these simple terms over and over again. I know I’m not alone in this however because (of course) there have been countless books written on the subject.
Over the past several months we have lived in a variety of homes and it has been a joy to be together in all of them. We have learned to make a home no matter what the address may be. We are however very much looking forward to getting more settled into our current home which I have now found out is in zip code area 22302…Alexandria, Virginia.
